SEO quote: a detailed costing within 48 hours
Describe your situation in two minutes. You receive a costing built on a number of days, not on a generic package. Free, no commitment, and no sales sequence.

Two minutes. Only the starred fields are required; the rest sharpen the costing.
What an SEO quote commits you to, and what it does not
Nothing. A quote is a working document, not a contract. You can read it, compare it, keep it for six months, or never follow up.
We spell this out because many companies hesitate to ask for an SEO quote, wary of opening the door to a sales sequence. The instinct is understandable: in this market, a quote request is often the start of a funnel.
Our way of working is simpler. You receive a written costing within 48 working hours. If you do not reply, we follow up once, a week later. After that, nothing. No automated sequence, no unsolicited calls.
In return, we ask for slightly more precise information than most. A serious costing cannot be built on a company name and an e-mail address.
What happens after your request
Four steps, two of them entirely on us.

Free pre-audit
We look at your site, your market and your competitors. That is what makes costing possible

To go through the quote together, adjust the scope, or leave it there
The pre-audit in step 2 is the heart of the process, and it is free. It is what turns a range into a figure. Without it, any SEO quote is a standard package in disguise.
Mind the distinction, it comes up often: the pre-audit is free, the full audit is not. An SEO audit represents several days of work and is the first billed stage of the campaign.
What our quote contains
A readable SEO quote fits on two pages and answers three questions: what gets done, how long it takes, and what it costs. Here is how ours is structured.
| What you will find in it | What that contains precisely |
|---|---|
| The findings | What the pre-audit showed: the priority workstreams, what is blocking, what can wait |
| Scope by stage | Audit, optimisation, content and links. Each stage with its deliverables named |
| The number of days | For each stage. This is the line that makes the quote comparable to any other |
| The day rate | €500 excluding VAT, published openly on our pricing page |
| The timeline | What starts when, and when the first effects can reasonably be expected |
| What is not included | Explicitly. Buying links, development, outsourced copywriting, tool licences |
That last line deserves a word. Many SEO quotes leave out what they do not cover, and the real invoice reveals itself along the way. The link building budget is the commonest example: the fees are announced, the cost of the links themselves is not.
What is worth preparing
Noe of this is required, but each item below makes the costing more accurate, and therefore less likely to be revised upwards mid-engagement.
- Your website address. Essential. Without it no pre-audit is possible.
- Your two or three main competitors. The ones you see ahead of you on Google, not necessarily the ones in your actual market. The gap between the two is often instructive.
- Read access to Search Console. This is what improves the quality of the costing most. We then see your real queries rather than third-party tool estimates.
- What has already been tried. A previous engagement, a redesign, a migration. Knowing what did not work avoids replaying it.
- Your actual constraint. A budget, a deadline, a revenue target. A costing is built against a constraint, not in a vacuum.
If you have none of that to hand, send your request anyway. We will start from the website address, and that is already a lot.
Would you rather talk it through?
Fifteen minutes is often enough to establish whether SEO is the right lever for you, and at what order of magnitude.

How to read and compare several SEO quotes
You will probably ask for three or four. The problem is that they will be unreadable against each other: different scopes, different units, different promises. Here is the grid that brings them back to a common basis.
| What to look for | Good sign | Bad sign |
|---|---|---|
| The costing unit | A number of days or hours per item | A single global figure with no breakdown |
| The scope | Deliverables named and counted | “SEO optimisation” with nothing further |
| Link building | The cost of links is separated from the cost of the work | “Link building included” with no amount or criteria |
| Results announced | Hypotheses with stated conditions | A guaranteed ranking |
| Commitment length | Six months, or a clear exit clause | 24 months from the outset |
| Prior audit | The quote rests on an examination of the site | The quote arrives before anyone looked at the site |
Once the quotes are converted into days, you can compare them against the market. The average day rate of an experienced SEO consultant is €498 excluding VAT according to the Malt barometer, and the median budget of an SEO project in France is €5,000 excluding VAT. We set out those figures, their sources and their dispersion on our SEO pricing page, with a calculator to place your own project.
Frequently asked questions about SEO quotes
Is the quote really free?
Yes, as is the pre-audit that produces it. What is billed is the work itself, if you decide to go ahead. Not to be confused with the full SEO audit, which represents several days of work and is the first billed stage of the campaign.
How soon will I receive the quote?
Within 48 working hours of your request. If your project needs a longer examination, for instance a site of several thousand pages or a migration in progress, we tell you within that same window and say when the costing will be ready.
Do you need access to my site to produce a costing?
No. The pre-audit is done from the outside, using public data and our own tools. Read access to Search Console noticeably improves the accuracy of the costing, but remains optional.
What happens if I do not follow up?
We follow up once, a week after sending, then we leave it there. Your data is kept only as long as needed to handle the request, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Do you cost by fixed fee or by the day?
By the day, at €500 excluding VAT. That is the model used by 28.5% of French agencies, against 91.8% on a fixed project fee. We systematically translate into a monthly budget and a project budget, so our quote stays comparable to the others you will receive.
Does the quote include the budget for buying links?
No, and it says so in black and white. The cost of links is distinct from the cost of the work, and presented separately if your project needs them. It is the item most often hidden in SEO quotes.
Do you work with companies outside the Paris region?
Yes, most of our clients are outside Paris. Location does not change our day rate. It does change the market price level you will compare us against: the median project is €7,000 in the Paris region against €4,000 elsewhere in France.
Can I request a quote for GEO only?
Yes. GEO, meaning visibility inside the answers of ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, can be a separate engagement. Say so in the form, and see our GEO and SEO for AI page.
